Spurs star Emmanuel Adebayor: ‘I haven’t been this good since Arsenal’
Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor says he is currently enjoying his best form since his Arsenal days.
Frozen out under Andre Villas Boas, the Togo international has eight goals in 10 Premier League games since Tim Sherwood took charge.
Adebayor says he hasn’t played so well since he was at Spurs’ north London rivals.
Speaking after scoring twice in last night’s 0-4 win at Newcastle, he said: “The last time I was scoring like this I think, if I had a good memory, I was at Arsenal.
“The manager gave me the chance to play football, all my team-mates have a big belief in me, so for me the most important things is to keep playing my football, keep enjoying myself on the pitch.
“That’s what I’m doing at the moment and it’s working quite well.”
