Arsenal’s record signing Mesut Ozil and Manchester United’s Tom Cleverley might like to form a group therapy meeting.
The Gunners star was booed and whistled by home supporters during Germany’s friendly win over Chile last night.
Cleverley’s name was booed when it was read out over the Wembley PA system.
Germany’s general manager Oliver Bierhoff sprung to Ozil’s defence, saying he could not understand why he had been targeted by fans.
He said: “At the present time, and with the score (being 1-0 Germany) I did not understand the whistles (aimed at Ozil).
“I find it a pity that a player such as Mesut is singled out.”
