Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna looks set to join Turkish champions elect Fenerbahce, according to reports in his native France.

The 31-year-old is out of contract at the Emirates this summer and has been tipped to leave the Gunners in search of a final bumper contract and big pay rise.

His discussions with Fenerbahce are advanced, claims French newspaper L’Equipe.

The report suggests that a move to Istanbul would see Sagna double his salary to £100,000-a-week.

Sagna, who arrived at Arsenal from Auxerre in 2007, has been in talks over an extension with the Gunners, but talks appear to have ended in stalemate.

Manager Arsene Wenger recently admitted that discussions were “not progressing”.

Mizer Wenger is letting him go – can you credit it? He’ll pay E20,000,000.00 for a replacement – and increase in the Sagna salary would have cost E4,600,000.00 over 3 years – where is this imbecile’s logic – fire him – the man is mental – Can you imagine what he is going to bring to the club in the off season? Fire the half wit!

I reckon they should have kept Sagna. He’s been loyal to the club, has lots of experience and it will be hard to replace him.

Please, Dont let this guy go. The versatility at the defense is evident, he plays anywhere at the back; plus the stability of the team is not built on first team exits. There are those we need to let go I bet but not Sagna
