Olivier Giroud ‘to be sold’ by Arsenal this summer

Arsenal will seek to offload striker Olivier Giroud this summer, according to the Sun on Sunday.

Although Arsene Wenger is yet to commit his own future to the club ahead of next season, he has reportedly already decided that his compatriot shouldn’t be there.

The 27-year-old’s form has dipped in recent weeks, with the fatigued striker having spent most of the season as the Gunners’ only option up-front.

But it is believed to be Giroud’s off-field indiscretions that have particularly irked Wenger.

The same newspaper revealed that the former Montpellier man had sneaked model Celia Kay into his room in the team hotel in the early hours of a matchday earlier this season.

Giroud apologised to his wife via Twitter over the incident and was rumoured to have been disciplined by the Gunners.

But the latest reports indicate that Wenger plans to take his sanctions further once the transfer window is open.

Everything a good striker does a great striker does better. Good strikers score goals great strikers score memorable goals. Great strikers take on defenses and score good strikers rely on a great pass.

The chances of AW being the skipper next season are pretty slim at this point, even if they win on Tuesday. Giroud has been the only real 9 in the lineup due to Wenger’s transfer window paralysis. Despite the drama of his off-the-pitch antics, announcing that he is to be sold this summer BEFORE the season ends only tampers with club moral ahead of an FA final and champions league placing. Whether its the decision of AW or the board, releasing this information now is just another example of the questionable decision-making at the Arsenal.

According to the Sun……Hmm ..and where pray tell did they get their story. Pay no attention to this kind of crap. Just trying to unsettle our team and supporters before this crucial end of season run.
