Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon is rumoured to be a transfer target for West Ham.
The 27-year-old burst onto the international scene ahead of the 2006 World Cup and also played at the 2010 World Cup. But now, at what should be his prime, he was never really in contention for Roy Hodgson’s squad for Brazil 2014.
He could be set to leave White Hart Lane in an attempt to rejuvenate his career, reports the Metro.
Lennon, signed from Leeds for £1m nine years ago, is thought to be a player the Hammers would like to add to a team that has faced accusations of being too direct.
The pacy winger has the potential to excite the Upton Park crowd with his runs to the byline, but his style wouldn’t detract from the club’s Andy Carroll-focused attack.
Sunderland are also said to be keeping an eye on Lennon’s situation with a view to adding him to their squad this summer.
