Marco Reus’ agent fuels Man United rumours

Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus’ agent has hinted the in-demand star could be on his way to one of European football’s elite clubs.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester United following Louis van Gaal’s appointment and is likely to cost over £30m.

Reus has a contract with the German side until 2017 and appears to be open to a switch after his agent Dirk Hebel refused to confirm he would be staying with the club, while fueling the flames of a transfer by saying there had been contact from across Europe, including Barcelona and Real Madrid.

“Marco would make any big European team stronger,” Hebel told Bild. “That’s why it’s completely normal that a number of these major European teams are interested in signing him.

“But his main priority for now is to get back to top fitness and return to the pitch. Everything else is not important at this stage.”

“Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus’ agent has hinted the in-demand star could be on his way to one of European football’s elite clubs”.

Right, because a club that over a span of the last four seasons won Bundesliga twice and twice finished 2nd, won the German Cup, German Supercup and reached UCL-semifinal isn’t an elite one.

I think He should stay… Or if he wants to move to any European club.. He should consider Chelsea,.if he goes to. Manchester United…all his reputation which he had playing for the german club B.Dortmund will get very low…
He’s my Favourite player… And I don’t want him to go to united

  • Sam

Where will Real Madrid or barcelona put him ?? In the fucking bench. He should stay at Dortmund because he can garuntee his position in the squad

  • Jiraiya

Why Chelsea?? You must be a Chelsea fanboy huh. Manchester United are the biggest club in the BPL/world so how would his reputation get very low?? He would fit in at Man United why better than he would at Chelsea, which is overrun by midfielders.

akatshit your an idiot by insulting manchester can you compare chelsea with manchester united the most beautifull club in the world

  • Silas

Where did he say he was going to Man UTD. He has been linked with ll the top clubs in Europe. !!

  • Abraham

Chelsea has no need for reus… Chelsea’s mourning I said no more signings… And plus why would reus go to an unsuccessful club

  • Thomas Babilonia

how can he fit in Chelsea? He plays similar positions with Eden Hazard!

  • Jarvis

You guys are baffoons. He’s hinting that a lack of UCL is not that important. Its a very subtle hint. Read between the damn lines. Hehe

Or go to Man United. But that’s very unlikely. I know that. :'(

  • Riddhi Khan

Agreed. I’d be jumping up and down if Reus joins Man United. He would fit perfectly in Van Gaal’s plans. And if he goes to Chelsea, battling with Hazard would harm both players career.

Real madrid and barcelona buy players like Reus to fill their squad simply for one reason, to strengthen and to make sure no other club in Europe can get stronger, he would not be a starting player at Real or Barcelona, but they have no intention of him going anywhere else, Fair play does not do anything to stop this practice, they keep getting stronger every year and harvest every player that might help other teams mount a challenge to their supremacy, Reus will not come to Man U because one of the big 2 will snap him up

With Lewandowski out the door Dortmund can no longer be seen as a Elite club. Also, if he wants to stay at Dortmund so bad why hasn’t he signed his name to the extension but in front of him? He would be a perfect fit at MU and would be in the starting XI by week #5. He’s probably waiting to see what Di Maria does. Which is more than likely sign for PSG. Once that happens I can easily see him signing for MU. They are 1 of the top 3 biggest clubs in the world, he’ll get all of the pitch time he wants and with him Van Gaal will have MU back in a CL spot by the end of the season. At that point he becomes one of the most talked about footballers in the world. A no brainer for him IMO.
