Arsenal hold talks to sign Marco Reus from Dortmund
Arsenal have held talks to sign in-demand Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus, according to reports in Spain.
The German has been the topic of fevered transfer speculation this summer after refusing to sign a new deal with the Bundesliga outfit.
Bayern Munich riled their German rivals when they leaked details of the player’s £20m release fee – sparking a flurry of interest in the midfielder.
Liverpool, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Munich have all been strongly linked with the player.
And Arsenal are now reported to be leading the race with Spanish newspaper Vozpopuli claiming Reus held talks with Arsene Wenger about a switch in London over the summer.
The paper says the discussions went well but Arsenal put the transfer on hold because of his injury but are now ready to revive it with the player recovering.
Munich, though, remain keen on the star and are likely to push hard to secure his services.
