No offers for Liverpool defender Daniel Agger
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed there have been no enquiries for defender Daniel Agger who is determined to force through an exit from the club.
Agger broke down on the club’s US tour over his predicament at Liverpool with him not feeling valued by Rodgers.
The Dane wants first-team football this season with the arrival of Lovren set to force him further down the pecking order.
Arsenal and Tottenham are both said to be interested in Agger but Rodgers insists there have been no bids.
“I saw some stories on Agger, but we haven’t had any enquiries. Daniel is still getting some work done on his knee,” he told the Liverpool Echo.
“He’s been unfortunate since the tour of America, but we haven’t had anything, no offers.”
Barcelona were also reportedly keen on bringing in the defender having tracked him throughout last season but they have just confirmed the signing of Arsenal’s Thomas Vermaelen so may not be looking for any more defenders.
