Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers praises Martin Odegaard
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers heaped praise on Norwegian youngster Martin Odegaard after last night’s defeat to Real Madrid.
The 15-year-old, already a first-team regular for Stromsgodset and a senior international, is wanted by a host of top clubs, including the Reds and Real Madrid.
He said: “I know the young player that you’re talking about and I won’t go into too much detail because he works and plays for another club, but I know that he’s a big talent.
“For that age, to be playing senior football at 15 in a competitive league he’s got wonderful ability and wonderful talent.
“But I’ve nothing much more to say him.”
Despite not having much to say, Rodgers had a lot more to say than Carlo Ancelotti, who claimed he had never seen Odegaard play despite the youngster being on trial with the European champions this week.
He also training with Ajax recent and is reportedly a target for Manchester United and Manchester City.
