Martin Odegaard’s dad texts Norwegian media from Liverpool

The prospects of Liverpool landing wonderkid Martin Odegaard appear to be increasing after his usually talkative dad suddenly went very quiet.
Erik Odegaard has been very open with the media about his son’s plans and possible options. But he did not want to comment after meeting the Reds yesterday.
Both father and son are reported to be Liverpool fans. They were given a tour of Anfield and Melwood before being whisked out for dinner with Philippe Coutinho, who Odegaard has previously namechecked as one of his favourite players.
The 15-year-old trained at Melwood, with Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet reporting that manager Brendan Rodgers was impressed with what he saw.
But Erik text the same publication to say that he did not want to comment on the situation.
He also text the VG newspaper to say: “There is nothing new compared to what we have said previously, and we’re not going to comment on anything about it either.”
