Jack Wilshere calls for Arsenal togetherness with photo of Man Utd statue
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere took to social media to call for togetherness in the wake of yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace – by posting a photo of the Gunners’ crest floating above a Manchester United statue.
Wilshere, aged 24, shared a picture of the silhouette of the statue at sunset accompanied by the slogan: “This is our club, today and forever.”
It wasn’t long before his social media followers informed him that the statue was of the United trinity of George Best, Denis Law, and Bobby Charlton.
The England international quickly pressed the delete button, but it was too late.
