Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has shed blood in the course of his duty this evening.
The current Italy coach was seen mopping up a nosebleed sustained in the celebrations of Emanuele Giaccherini’s opening goal in tonight’s clash with Belgium.
Conte had a scrunched up tissue pressed up against his nostrils as he directed his players in the wake of Giaccherini’s strike.
The side of his nose and cheek looks slightly swollen, which suggests he took a considerable whack. We can confirm Marouane Fellaini’s elbows were not involved in the incident.
Chelsea fans will be hoping to see similar levels of commitment to the cause next season.
