Lionel Messi has not had the greatest week, and it isn’t too often you can write that.

However, you can’t keep a man down for long, and the Argentinean wizard put his tax evasion accusations behind him with a hat-trick for his country which took him above Diego Maradona in the national scoring charts.

Messi scored a golazo from 20 yards before a penalty overtook Diego’s record. Finally, Augusto Fernandez squared the ball for Messi to tap home his third.

Messi is just now behind Gabriel Batistuta in an effort to be Argentina’s top goalscorer of all time.

Whilst watching Soccer AM isn’t necessarily recommended these days (it’s merely pushing that most horrible of entities – football bantz), everyone knows the ‘character’ on the show called Tubes and his rather alternative interviewing style.

It now appears, however, that Tubes has been keeping something else in his locker. In a recent charity game, he flicked the ball up before volleying home from 25 yards, the ball cannoning in off the underside of the bar.
