There were none of the heroics of last season’s Champions League final from Petr Cech last night, but the goalkeeper still played a crucial role in ensuring that Chelsea won a European trophy for the second successive season.
However, it was revealed that Cech almost missed the game completely thanks to poor timekeeping. Sky Sports reporter Bryan Swanson revealed that the Chelsea team bus had already pulled out of the hotel when Cech ran out of the hotel. The bus had to stop to allow the keeper on board. read more »
