Inter Milan boss revels in his return to Stamford Bridge
Jose Mourinho was able to hand-deliver a very special message to the man who booted him out of the Chelsea hot-seat last night. Mourinho’s Inter Milan side won a scrappy game 0-1 to go through 1-3 on aggregate.
Highlights after the jump.

Spurned midfielder’s revenge on Jose Mourinho?
Inter Milan’s Sulley Muntari hit back at his manager’s decision to make him play just 10 minutes of their game against Catania – by taking just 85 seconds to get sent off!
Well, that’s the only explanation I can find. It’s either that or he has to go down as one [...]

Becks’ South African dream is over
David Beckham is set to miss out on this summer’s World Cup after pulling up with an ankle injury during tonight’s match between AC Milan and Chievo. The injury is thought to be a torn Achilles tendon which would almost certainly rule him out England’s squad for South Africa.
The former [...]

Not-so golden oldies
Manchester United were superb last night. Wayne Rooney in particular was a real handful and unquestionably will be at the centre of any would-be English World Cup success in the summer (fingers crossed he stays fit!). But surely a few questions must be asked of an ageing AC Milan? The seven-time champions of [...]

Goldenballs dons gold-and-green
After the disgraceful hostile reaction to his arrival on the pitch last night, David Beckham (ever the populist) sought to win back over those seething Manchester United supporters by wearing a green-and-gold Love United, Hate Glazer scarf at full-time.
They just don’t like you, David, and they can see straight through your publicity stunts. [...]

Eye-eye
Inter Milan goalkeeper Julio Cesar took to the field against Chelsea last night showing the bumps and bruises of a late night car crash last weekend. He managed to put in a fairly decent performance despite looking a bit like a panda, although he did dive in phases as he was beaten for Chelsea’s goal.

1. Diego Milito should contact Max Clifford. He is the latest to have done John Terry.
2. Sod’s law for Chelsea: Petr Cech gets what appears to be a serious knee injury in an innocuous looking fall, Hilario miskicks about six consecutive kicks and escapes unscathed.
3. Lucio was absolutely superb for Inter.
