Inter Milan boss revels in his return to Stamford Bridge
Jose Mourinho was able to hand-deliver a very special message to the man who booted him out of the Chelsea hot-seat last night. Mourinho’s Inter Milan side won a scrappy game 0-1 to go through 1-3 on aggregate.
Highlights after the jump.

Not-so golden oldies
Manchester United were superb last night. Wayne Rooney in particular was a real handful and unquestionably will be at the centre of any would-be English World Cup success in the summer (fingers crossed he stays fit!). But surely a few questions must be asked of an ageing AC Milan? The seven-time champions of [...]

1. Diego Milito should contact Max Clifford. He is the latest to have done John Terry.
2. Sod’s law for Chelsea: Petr Cech gets what appears to be a serious knee injury in an innocuous looking fall, Hilario miskicks about six consecutive kicks and escapes unscathed.

Last-gasp goalie goal
Standard Liege were heading out of Europe last night when goalkeeper Sinan Bolat went up for a free-kick. The goalie got his head to the ball and scored a crucial goal to ensure they snapped up the Europa League slot ahead of opponents AZ Alkmaar.
His team-mates were understandably delighted and took the opportunity [...]

We can only assume that Samir Nasri was humming the riff to Smoke On The Water during this dribble.

Draws are good enough
Both Manchester United and Chelsea had to come from behind to secure results that ensured their progress in the Champions League.
United came back from 1-3 down at home to CSKA Moscow to secure a 3-3 draw. Meanwhile Chelsea went 1-0 down to Atletico Madrid, grabbed two goals to take the lead but [...]
