In England we call the traditional game of football played on mud ‘away at Wigan’, but in Finland they call it mudball. It doesn’t so much test your technique as your ability to stay afloat. The teams take it very seriously though (well, except for the ones in drag or their birthday suits).
I can see right up your shorts!
Finland came up with an interesting way of distracting Azerbaijan goalkeeper Kamran Aghayev during their World Cup qualifier, and it seemed to work. Here is how to try the tactics out with your team:
1) Take one Daniel Sjolund.
2) Open his legs and leave him lying on the ground within easy viewing of the opposition goalkeeper.
3) Sit and wait for the goalkeeper to take the, erm, bait.
