Royals keeper is fox in the box
Just look at Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici’s reactions as he picks himself up from a tangle on the floor to fire home a vital equaliser against Cardiff. His manager Steve Coppell said: “It was a good take. He had to get up off the floor quickly to finish, which is a skill he would have learnt in goalkeeping practice. I’ve seen him score for us before in a pre-season game at Bromley when he played outfield. He’s a good outfield player. All goalkeepers are frustrated centre-forwards anyway.”

It would be easy to assume that MacKenzie - now on-loan at Port Vale - is your typical stupid footballer, except he appeared on Countdown and won five heats!

A post-goal celebration pile-on is not unusual on a football pitch, but you don’t expect to see the manager leading the charge. Jose Mourinho got a bit overexcited after Maicon scored a late winner for Inter Milan against Siena and flung himself on the back of his underdressed hero. His dry cleaner will be pleased with the extra work anyway!

Gaston Aguirre latest player to attack feathered friend
San Lorenzo defender Gaston Aguirre will forever have the stain of pigeon blood on his conscience after killing a bird during a recent match. The Argentinian’s shot connected with the bird, who sadly didn’t have the quick reactions of his mates, killing it instantly.
The poor little blighter didn’t exactly get a big send-off. Scooped up by the referee, dumped off the pitch and play continued. At least Aguirre was in reflective mood. He said: “I kicked the ball and, poor pigeon. Now I will be remembered as the pigeon killer.”
This reminds us of the time Evil Lucas Neill tried to wipe out a bird.
