Boro striker in trouble with the Old Bill… again
Former England under-21 international Leroy Lita was handed an £80 fixed penalty notice after being arrested for being drunk and disorderly. The Middlesbrough striker, aged 25, was taken to a police station after getting into an altercation with uniformed officers on a night out in Newcastle.
Lita was later given the fine and released. In 2006, he was arrested for allegedly headbutting a friend during a night out. The complaint was later dropped.
