Spurned midfielder’s revenge on Jose Mourinho?
Inter Milan’s Sulley Muntari hit back at his manager’s decision to make him play just 10 minutes of their game against Catania – by taking just 85 seconds to get sent off!
Well, that’s the only explanation I can find. It’s either that or he has to go down as one of the stupidest players of all time for this crazy crash course in bad decision making.
Having been brought on to replace Esteban Cambiasso, Muntari was almost immediately booked for a rash challenge on Jorge Andres Martinez.
If that wasn’t stupid enough, seconds later Muntari decided it would be a good idea to handle the resulting free kick, in the box, not only giving away a penalty but also getting himself sent off.
D’oh!
