Crying Djibril Cisse’s emotional nightclub farewell to Panathanaikos fans
Ex-Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse took the mic in a nightclub for an emotional goodbye to the fans of Panathanaikos.
The France international is expected to finalise a switch to Serie A side Lazio very shortly and, in the absence of any fixtures, seemingly decided the club was his best chance of addressing as many supporters as possible.
He told fans of the Greek club “you’ll be in my heart for my life” during his mini-speech.
Supporters responded with chants of Cisse’s name, which clearly moved the player. He was forced to sit down in the DJ booth as he wiped tears from his eyes.
Quite refreshing to see a player with an emotional attachment to the club he’s leaving, although we would like to check how much ouzo he had downed before commenting on its sincerity!
