Well, after smashing his face on a metal grid at the edge of the pitch, the Republic of Ireland defender had to swap his shirt because of the blood on his jersey.
Dunne was fixed up with a spare shirt, but the referee took exception to the lack of a number on the shirt. Ireland’s resourceful backroom team solved the problem by producing a marker pen to put a number 5 on the front and back of the Aston Villa man’s shirt.
