Lewis McGugan’s wonder strike against Bolton
I’ll accept that I am possibly biased as a Forest fan, but I think we can all agree that when Lewis McGugan hits a football, it stays hit.
In fact, the most frustrating thing about the player is that when on song he has enough talent to more than hold his own in the Premier League, but just doesn’t strut his stuff consistently enough.
Last night’s goal against Bolton at the Reebok was McGugan’s first since January, but boy what a strike. The midfielder picked the ball up 35 yards out and launched the ball into the top corner off the underside of the bar.
Bolton came back into the game and it took an Andy Reid finish twenty minutes from time to snatch a 2-2 draw that was fair on both sides.
