Spoof: Liverpool star Luis Suarez demands rebrand for his team-mates
Luis Suarez is demanding that Liverpool’s marketing team rebrand the club’s current promotional slogan to better reflect the sharing of the workload at Anfield.
The talismanic striker is reportedly fed up of being the only player making a useful contribution to the Reds’ performances. After once again getting Brendan Rodgers’ side out of jail in yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle, the Uruguayan spent yesterday evening on Photoshop creating a draft rebrand for the club.
He’s proposing that the current ‘We Come Not To Play’ slogan is only used in conjunction with his own image in future. For campaigns featuring any other members of the squad, the tagline will be tweaked to read: ‘We Come To Not Play.’
Sources close to Suarez suggest he thinks this more accurately summarises the contributions of all those in the squad.
