Ashley Cole’s mother reveals on Facebook that her son is set to leave Chelsea for PSG
Just knowing your parents are on Facebook is cause for embarrassment for many and things can soon toboggan down to the realms of pure rage when an errant comment backfires. Spare a thought for Ashley Cole then (we know that’s easier said than done).
Keeping dopey social networking gaffes in the family, Mama Cole has seemingly spilled the beans on the destination of the Chelsea defender’s next big money move.
Typing away on the social network without a care in the world, Sue Cole dismissed the chances of Sir Alex Ferguson snaffling the world class left-back and gave a pretty heavy hint that her son is set to join Paris Saint-Germain.
She wrote: “Well looks like his going somewhere better hear than the talk of man u. Not too far on the Euro Star x.” [sic]
Just to further spell out her presumably well-informed prediction, she links to a report that PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti has already had talks with the 31-year-old.
That’s not exactly evidence of a done-deal but the prospect seems entirely conceivable – Cole has failed to sign a new contract after the perceived slight of only being offered a one-year deal by the Champions League winners.
Plus, PSG’s Qatari owners have pockets as deep as the Grand Canyon and we have this crazy hunch that Cole might just be a little susceptible to a wage increase.
Not had your fill of pro footballers being left red-faced by their mother’s misdemeanours on Facebook? May we reacquaint you with the potty mouthed Carol Konchesky.
