Rapid Vienna fans build wall to stop underperforming staff entering club
Fans of clubs are often accused of lying down and taking it when shat on by their respective clubs. It’s all very well moaning about ticket prices, but if you keep going to matches then nothing will change.
Fans of Rapid Vienna in Austria are the folks to follow if you want an example to be set. After a poor season in which the perennially successful club will at best be finishing third (and are currently 23 points off top spot), Ultras at the club took a rather novel approach to protesting about the manager.
They built a wall in order in front of the door to the club, on which they hung a photo of the coach. Below was written the message “I’m not allowed in.”
You have to give them marks for ingenuity.
