Fail! Newcastle United’s Papiss Cisse pictured in casino despite his religious stance over Wonga deal
It becomes rather difficult for Newcastle United striker to make a moral and religious stance over the club’s association with emergency loan company Wonga when pictures emerge of him wilfully ignoring other laws set out in his religion.
Cisse has been training alone and missed the club’s tour to Portugal following his refusal to wear the club’s sponsor on his shirt, but photos have emerged of him gambling in a casino in Newcastle, clearly disregarding a serious aspect of Islamic law.
The picture was taken during a European trip in November for which Cisse was rested, and according to an onlooker the striker staked at least several hundred pounds over the course of the evening.
It’s almost as if Cisse has been taking the stance to engineer a move away from the club, isn’t it?
