Video: Man Utd boss David Moyes refuses to comment on Rooney after Kitchee win
Manchester United manager David Moyes stayed tight-lipped on Wayne Rooney’s future after his side’s 5-2 win over Hong Kong outfit Kitchee.
Moyes indicated that there were no further developments since the champions had told the media that Rooney is not for sale.
He said: “I couldn’t give you any more update than already I’ve said before.”
The former Everton boss said the pre-season tour of Asia had allowed him to get to know his players.
He added: “I’ve taken away a great experience of my first trip with Manchester United in general and what the football club means around the world.
“But I’ve got the chance to know the players. To try and settle into my environment and the players to get to know me as well.
“They have been working with a great manager for a long time, a lot of them, so it’s going to take time.”
