Spurs defender Steven Caulker undergoing a medical at Cardiff City
Tottenham centre-back Steven Caulker is currently completing a medical at Cardiff ahead of a reported £8m-plus.
The England international has previously spent a season on-loan at Cardiff’s south Wales rivals Swansea.
But he now appears set to join the Premier League new boys on a permanent basis.
It is believed the fee will be a club record, which means it will be more than the £8.5m recently spent on the signing of Danish striker Andreas Cornelius.
The 21-year-old currently has one cap for the England senior team and represented Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics.
The move is already being questioned by many Spurs fans, who cannot see the logic of selling a young, talented centre-back, particularly when it now seems likely the club will already be getting a windfall from selling Gareth Bale this summer.
