Xavi: ‘We’ll see what happens’ on Cesc Fabregas to Manchester United
Barcelona midfielder Xavi says “we’ll have to see” whether team-mate Cesc Fabregas will move to Manchester United this summer.
But he sees him as an important part of the Barcelona team and expects that to continue for the forthcoming campaign.
He dismissed much of the talk about Fabregas’ future as media rumours, but indicated that there was an element of doubt as to where the 26-year-old will be playing next season.
He said: “They are all rumours. At present he [Cesc Fabregas] is working with the rest of the team and he looks very good and in top shape.
“There is nothing else to say for now. These are all rumours created by the media. We’ll see what happens but I see him as part of the team.
“He is, has been and will be an important player. I see him calm and prepared for the upcoming season with Barcelona.”
