Real Madrid will move for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez if Arsenal sign Karim Benzema

In a bit of a perverted transfer love triangle, Real Madrid are planning to sign Liverpool’s Luis Suarez if they lose Karim Benzema to Arsenal.
Suarez, of course, was the Gunners’ first-choice new striker, but Liverpool have refused to sell to them.
France international Benzema now appears to be their preferred target after they missed out on Suarez and Gonzalo Higuain. If they are succesful in bringing him to the Emirates, Real will bid for Suarez, formerly desperate to leave Anfield but now in love all over again with Merseyside.
The Guardian reports:
Real Madrid are contemplating a move for Luis Suárez – but only if Arsenal target Karim Benzema leaves the club.
Brendan Rodgers said on Thursday that Liverpool were preparing themselves for a bid from Madrid for Suárez, in what was interpreted in Spain as potentially an invitation for Madrid to make an offer, despite his claim that the Uruguayan is still not for sale.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have briefed that they are considering a £46m bid for Benzema, 25, and the Guardian understands that they have made an inquiry about the France international.
It was always thought that Suarez had anticipated joining Real this summer. He was forced to backtrack when it became clear that the Spaniards were focusing all their efforts on brining Gareth Bale to the Bernabeu and that Liverpool had no appetite for selling him to a Champions League qualification rival.
It remains to be seen whether the Reds will have the same resolve to stop the Uruguay international signing for an overseas bidder.
