Tottenham line-up Hulk as new Gareth Bale replacement
Spurs are set to make Hulk their new Gareth Bale replacement after missing out on Willian.
Having seemingly been pipped to Willian’s signature by Premier League rivals Chelsea, Andre Villas Boas’ side will now turn their attention to fellow Brazilian, Zenit St Petersburg attacker Hulk.
But Spurs will only make their move if they can sign Hulk for the same price they had agreed for Willian, according to reports in the Sunday Telegraph. They will need to convince Zenit to sell for £30m, well below their current £40m asking price.
Hulk is said to be keen for a renuion with Villas Boas, who was his coach at Porto.
That could convince the 27-year-old to move to White Hart Lane even though Spurs can’t offer him Champions League football.
