Spurs are stalling over Gareth Bale, says Real Madrid vice-president
Real Madrid vice-president Fernando Fernández Tapias has accused Tottenham of stalling over Gareth Bale’s move to Spain.
Speaking ahead of Real’s clash with Deportivo La Coruna this evening, Fernández Tapias said he still thought the deal could be done but had expected Bale to be playing in the club’s game this evening.
He said: “There are problems, but I think it will all be straightened out.
“We thought he’d be here [for the Deportivo match], but he hasn’t even flown to Madrid yet, although it could still happen.
He initially denied knowing the finer details of the current situation, but provided more detail when pressed by journalists.
He added: “I think it will happen, but I couldn’t swear to it completely. We have to wait, because Spurs are stalling.”
Bale has skipped Spurs training this week as he attempts to push through his move.
