Rumours that Liverpool are on the verge of signing PSG defender Mamadou Sakho have been given serious weight by this photo showing the player at Melwood yesterday.

Sakho doesn’t exactly look thrilled to be there, but perhaps he has been put through an intensive training session and medical.

Reports had already suggested that Sakho was at the club for a medical, and the photo backs that up.

He is expected to be announced as a Reds player either later today or tomorrow.

Brendan Rodgers is also hoping to tie up deals for Sporting Lisbon centre-back Tiago Ilori and Chelsea’s Victor Moses.

Ilori is said to be the figure on the left in the photo below.
