Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has defended his decision to let young striker Romelu Lukaku go out on loan.
He also confirmed that the Blues are unable to recall the Belgium international in January.
Some fans have questioned the decision since Samuel Eto’o looks well below his best so far, Demba Ba doesn’t appear to have taken Mourinho’s fancy and Fernando Torres… well, you know.
But Mourinho insists Lukaku’s loan move to Everton is for the best.
He said: “I think that Romelu Lukaku is good at Everton if he is going to play every game. That is good for his confidence and good for his future at Chelsea. I don’t think our strikers lack confidence. Lukaku cannot be recalled in January.”
Yep, Fernando Torres has looked like he’s been brimming with conference since he arrived at Stamford Bridge.
