Man Utd skipper Nemanja Vidic: ‘Man City defeat hurt’
Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic says the derby day thrashing at the hands of rivals Manchester City hurt.
The Serbia international said the champions had the experience to bounce back from the 4-1 reverse, but acknowledged that questions would be asked of the squad and of new manager David Moyes.
He said: “It doesn’t matter whether we are losing or winning, you will always go back to that question: Is the manager good? Are the players good?
“I am not looking at it that way at all. This is a club that has a history. This is a club who has players who have won so many titles and the players are all national team players.
“There is so much experience. We have to bounce back, but this has hurt. The most important thing that the new manager and the old manager said was that you have to bounce back and win the next game.
“It hurts. You don’t want to lose derby games in this way and, trust me, no-one will want to remember this.”
