Valencia defender Adil Rami, transfer listed for criticising coach Miroslav Djukic, is a target for Manchester City and Arsenal.

Reports in Spain suggest the France international has been fined and also told he can leave the club over an outspoken interview in which he complained of “confusion” at the Mestalla.

On Tuesday evening, Rami told Spanish radio station Cadena Sur: “In the dressing room there is only confusion since we lost [Roberto] Soldado, [Alberto] Costa and [David] Albelda.

“Djukic doesn’t say things to your face.”

Rami has been angling for a move over the summer, claiming he wanted to join “a bigger club”. With Valencia now seemingly prepared to sell, Manchester City and Arsenal are believed to be at the top of a long list of suitors that will also include Barcelona.

The 27-year-old would cost around £8m.

Rami famouslymissed a game last season with injuries sustained dancing to Gangnam Style.
