Barcelona star Andres Iniesta says he wants to commit the rest of his career to the club – but Manchester City and Manchester United are both watching his contract negotiations carefully.
A new deal has not been agreed as quickly as expected, prompting speculation that Barca and their one-club man might be some distance apart in their demands.
Despite the delay, the 29-year-old midfielder is hopeful of agreeing a contract that will see him through to the end of his playing days.
He told Movistar: “You have to be where you want to be, and Barca is the place for me.
“The club knows that and wants me to stay, so I hope and expect to spend the years I have left playing there.”
