Liverpool ready to move for Porto’s Juan Iturbe
Juan Iturbe is reportedly a transfer target for Liverpool.
The Porto youngster, currently on loan at Verona, has been dubbed the ‘new Messi’.
The 20-year-old is an attacking midfielder capable of weighing in with his share of goals.
Reports in Italy suggest that the Reds will move for the Argentina under-20 international in the summer when his season-long loan in Serie A finishes.
The youngster has been impressive in his displays for Verona so far, and Brendan Rodgers will have competition from the likes of Fiorentina, Napoli, and Juventus if he does make a move.
Iturbe would effectively be a replacement for Victor Moses when the Nigeria international returns to Chelsea after his own loan ends. He will be able to stand-in for Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge when needed, but can also play in wide positions.
He has two goals and one assist in four starts for Verona.
