Arsenal ‘want to sign’ former Man City star Mario Balotelli
Arsenal are planning to bring ex-Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli back to the Premier League, according to reports in the Italian media.
Tuttosport claims that the AC Milan star is a target for Arsene Wenger.
The reports suggest that the fact that Milan are unlikely to qualify for next season’s Champions League and their poor form at the end of 2013 are causing Balotelli to consider his options.
But he could stay at San Siro if new coach Clarence Seedorf gets the club back on track.
The 23-year-old has had a difficult relationship with the Serie A side’s hierarchy in recent months.
His agent Mino Raiola has talked up a possible return to the Premier League and specifically mentioned a reunion with his former Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho.
Balotelli is said to have enjoyed life in England beyond the media intrusion he felt he suffered during his time at City.
