Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o is ‘aged 39’, claims ex-girlfriend

Chelsea forward Samuel Eto’o is 39 years old – seven years older than his reported age of 32 – according to an ex-girlfriend.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho found himself in an embarrassing situation this week when off-the-record jokes suggesting that the Cameroon international might be 35. But that light-hearted comment was actually a conservative estimate, according to the mother of one of his children.

Italian national Anna Barranca, who gave birth to Eto’o’s daughter during his Mallorca days, told The Sun: “It is very evident Samuel was older than the age he said he was when he first came to Europe.

“I think Samuel is not 35 he is more 39. Samuel was born in 1974 and so that makes him 39 now.”

The 43-year-old shop worker has previously accused Eto’o of not maintaining his financial responsibilities to his daughter.
