Liverpool’s Luis Suarez says he’d make a better SAS soldier than Daniel Sturridge
Luis Suarez says he is the member of Liverpool’s SAS strike partnership best suited to a career in the other SAS.
The Uruguayan says he would make a better soldier than fellow Reds striker Daniel Sturridge. Suarez, aged 26, thinks that fact that he is older than Sturridge swings things in his favour.
Asked by FourFourTwo which of them would be best suited to a career in the military, he said: “I’d say me, I’m older and you always need experience in an army!
“To be honest, though, with the two of us together, you wouldn’t go far wrong.”
Suarez and Sturridge’s outstanding record this season. The pair top the Premier League goalscoring charts with 24 and 18 goals respectively.
And Suarez also leads the way when it comes to assists.
Their excellent combination play has seen the partnership given the SAS acronym in honour of the British army’s renowned Special Air Service.
