Tottenham linked with Borussia Monchenglabach striker Max Kruse
Tottenham are plotting a surprise move for Germany international Max Kruse, according to reports in the Italian media.
The 26-year-old, capped six times by his country, currently plays for Borussia Monchengladbach.
But Spurs are ready to bring him to the Premier League amid fears over Emmanuel Adebayor’s health, claims Tuttosport.
Adebayor is suffering a mild case of malaria, which will rule him out of much of the club’s pre-season preparations. The north Londoners are concerned that going into the season with him short of fitness could leave them light up front.
That has reportedly led them to Kruse.
The former Werder Bremen, St Pauli and Freiburg man joined Monchengladbach last year and is under contract until 2017.
