Wembley will host the final and semi-finals of the 2020 European Championships, UEFA has confirmed.

Some 24 years after Euro 96, the latter stages of Euro 2020 will be played on English soil. Football’s coming home!

Hampden Park, in Glasgow, and the Aviva Stadium, in Dublin, will each host last 16 matches and three group games.

The FA beat the German FA in the bidding process for the final and semis. The Munich bid was reportedly withdrawn shortly before the vote amid reports of a possible back-door deal.

Euro 2020 will be the first pan-continental European Championships.

Quarter-finals and three group matches will be held in Munich (Germany), Baku (Azerbaijan), Rome (Italy) and St Petersburg (Russia).

The other host cities, which – like Glasgow and Dublin – will stage three group games and a last 16 game, are Copenhagen (Denmark), Bucharest (Romania), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Bilbao (Spain), Budapest (Hungary) and Brussels (Belgium).
