Luis Suarez admits he is finding life at Barcelona harder than Liverpool
Luis Suarez has admitted he is finding life at Barcelona harder than Liverpool after struggling to find the back of the net.
The striker returned form his four month ban in October but has failed to hit the incredible heights he reached with the Reds.
The Uruguayan says defenders in La Liga are better, making it harder for him to deliver the goals he was so accustomed to scoring in the Premier League.
“In the Premier League and at Liverpool teams rarely close up shop. You always have space to move in, in which to take on opponents,” he said.
“The defenders are strong, quicker, more corpulent… I was used to them. Here they are more skilful, they complement each other and play tighter together. They know how much danger Barca can cause and so it can be quite difficult sometimes.”
Suarez, who has the second-highest number of assists in the Barcelona squad, also said he was happy to work hard for others and create chances for the team.
He added: “I’m not scoring much at the moment, but I’m sure that with help from my colleagues, the goals will come.”
