Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger mocks ex-Spurs star David Ginola and Man Utd legend Cristiano Ronaldo
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has mocked former Tottenham star David Ginola after he announced he was running for Fifa presidency, while also sticking the boot into Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ginola’s decision to challenge Sepp Blatter for the upcoming election has opened the former winger up to ridicule after he admitted he was being paid £250,000 by a betting company, revealed he had no knowledge of the politics and could not name any of the executive committee members.
And his compatriot Wenger seems to agree that it was all rather amusing. “That has very little chance to happen. Let’s be realistic,” the Gunners boss laughed onn Ginola’s chances of winning.
Wenger was also quick to put down former United favourite Ronaldo for winning his individual award.
“I’m a team fan,” he said when asked about the Ballon d’Or. “I am totally against the Ballon d’Or, I am a team-lover. I would not vote for anyone, I am completely against it.”
