Hector Bellerin hints he could leave Arsenal and return to Barcelona
Hector Bellerin has hinted he could leave Arsenal and return to Barcelona where he came through the academy as a youngster.
The Gunners full-back has proved his worth since being handed his opportunity in Arsene Wenger’s side following the injury to Mathieu Debuchy.
The Star reports that Barca are interested in signing the 20-year-old as a replacement for Dani Alves, who has also been linked with the Gunners’ Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool.
The Spaniard, who has scored twice this season, has refused to rule out a move back to the Nou Camp.
Arsenal are well aware of losing players to Barcelona who came through the Spanish club’s ranks after Cesc Fabregas departed saying he could not turn down his boyhood club.
The Gunners will be hoping the same does not happen with Bellerin, who was keeping his options open when asked the question.
“I am good at Arsenal, but you do not know what the future may hold,” Bellerin was quoted as saying in the Star.
“The Arsenal is giving me everything I am with amazing players. I do not think about the future. I just started. I thank the people who speak well of me, but I’m only in the beginning. What has to arrive, will arrive.”
