Man Utd ready to out bid Arsenal with £60m offer for Edinson Cavani
Manchester United are ready to offer a massive £60m in order to land Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint Germain this summer, according to the Star.
The Red Devils are set to let Radamel Falcao leave the club following his loan stint that has seen him score just four goals, while Robin van Persie is reported to be on his way out of the club too after a poor season.
The 31-year-old, who is currently still out with an ankle injury, only has 12 months remaining on his contract. But with United not making any move to renew it, the writing appears to be on the wall for the player who notched 30 goals in his first season at the club that saw him win the Premier League.
United will target Cavani as their first choice to replace Van Persie with the PSG star still unsettled at the French club.
Arsenal are unlikely to be able to get anywhere near United’s offer. If they do agree a fee, though, they could be forced to pay Cavani £300,000 a week.
