Champions League semi-final draw: Barcelona vs Bayern and Juventus vs Real Madrid
— Champions League (@ChampionsLeague) April 24, 2015
Barcelona face former coach Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-finals.
Guardiola, who was seen cheering Barca on in their last-16 clash with Manchester City at Camp Nou, will take his Bundesliga champions to his old stomping ground for the first-leg before hosting his former club at the Allianz Arena.
The tie could also see the Alcantara brothers – Thiago, of Bayern, and Rafinha, of Barcelona – go head-to-head.
Barca have a poor record against the Bavarian giants. Of eight previous matches, the Catalan side have won just once, drawing twice and losing the other five games.
In the other semi-final, Juventus and Real Madrid face each other after 1-0 quarter-final victories over Monaco and Atletico Madrid, respectively.
The two sides have a very balanced record against each other. Juve have come out on top on seven occasions, the reigning European champions won eight times and there has been a single draw in their previous 16 encounters.
