John Terry has admitted that Chelsea players received a Jose Mourinho roasting at half-time to Leicester City last night in the Premier League.

The Blues eventually ran out 3-1 winners to leave them needing just three points to win the title this season.

But the west Londoners went into the break trailing the strugglers by a goal after a below par display.

Mourinho, though, was unimpressed with his side’s showing and told the players to put things right in the second half.

Didier Drogba, Terry and Ramires got the goals to turn things around for Chelsea as they secured another vital three points.

The result leaves the Blues in a commanding position with them now 13 points clear at the top.

But Terry admitted they needed a stern talking to by Mourinho at half-time.

“We are almost there. They were a tough side and they kept fighting,” he was quoted by the Mirror as saying.

“We got a telling off at half-time and we came out and played excellently in the second half. It wasn’t good enough in the first half but we got the three points.

“What the manager has done with this side in the last two years is remarkable. We’ve been the best side all season. We deserve a lot of respect, we’ve been very good all year. Let’s hope we win it on Sunday.”

Chelsea fans also took the opportunity to goad Arsenal with them chanting “boring, boring Chelsea” in reference to Gunners fans mocking them at the weekend.
